Last Sunday Ebony shook Brian's hand...an innocent gesture, right?The contact of his large hands - calloused, but clean - sent ripples that threw her for a loop. Add the sexy way her name rolled of his tongue and what do you get? Instant attraction. The feeling is mutual. He continues to hold her hand, even after she turns away. As she gathers her senses, his warm breath finds its way beside her ear again when he leans over, determined to stop yelling over the speakers blasting music around them. Ebony inhales the smell of his cologne, feels the warmth of his body next to hers...and then she glances his way and is reminded he's white.

I laughed lightly
while raising my hand to break his line of sight, wiggling my fingers.
He studied it
briefly. “I don’t see a ring. Are you married or in a relationship?”
