Welcome back for a sneak peek into the second chapter of A Heart Not Easily Broken, Book 1 of The Butterfly Memoirs!
Chapter two is an introduction to the male lead of the story, Brian Young, sexy bass guitarist in the band, Diverse Nation. If you missed last weeks post, no problem, click the link, or read the full first chapter.
Ebony didn't meet him at the club after all. But isn't it funny how life can put something good for you in your path, even if its not what you expected? If it keeps showing up, then you should probably pay it some attention.
It dawned on me I did not answer
her question regarding the form of payment. At least it would give me something
to talk about when we were done.
Saturday night, Ebony disappeared
like Cinderella, without leaving a hint of a glass slipper. Now, barely two
days later, I found where she lived. What were the chances? This was fate.
Fate, hmm....could Brian be a romantic? If nothing else, he knows how to manipulate a situation to suit him. Come back next week to see where it goes!

Intriguing six. I like the Cinderella reference too. :)
ReplyDeleteSo sweet... He must have sisters to compare to Cinderella. Love that! Hmmm...I wonder what Ebony's thinking right now. This guy she was obviously attracted to shows up at her house.
ReplyDeleteNice sample. Definitely would like to check out more. Congrats on the upcoming release.
ReplyDeleteI do love a romantic man. Lovely six!
ReplyDeleteI like his theory that it's Fate, works for me! I really enjoy Brian, hope she gives this a chance to work...great six!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Donna, the Cinderella reference is a nice touch. This is truly a lovely bit of writing. Excellent job!
ReplyDeleteThank you guys for all of the wonderful comments! Come back and visit! Next week is the last POV share of Brian's POV, then it's back to Ebony one last time...she's got some very interesting things going on!
