#Six Sentence Sunday #11- A Heart Not Easily Broken

Okay, not time to waste! The part you’ve been waiting for has finally arrived!

Last week, Ebony found herself in the sights of the bands guitar player, a white man, a good looking white man. Unsure how to respond to his obvious attention, Ebony leaves the dance floor and returns to the bar in hopes of finding her friends. To her surprise, they’ve disappeared. She decides to grab a drink . As she waits, she listens to the woman next to her scheming to convince the very same guitar player who'd been ogling her to take her home at the end of the night. Ebony laughs to herself thinking the brunette has a better chance of finding a man than she has. And then her drink arrives.

“I’ve got this,” a deep voice said close to my ear, making me jump. It was incredibly sexy despite the fact it scared me. It also sent a warm tingle down my spine. Intrigued, I turned and found myself face-to-face with the guitar player. The same one my barstool neighbor wanted to go home with.
Any sort of coherent words failed me.

All who could feel the tingle Ebony felt, raise your hands! (Mine is waving!!!!!)

So, who do you think was more surprised by the guitar player’s appearance at the bar? Ebony, or the lady sitting next to her who wants to take him home?

Dying to know exactly what this man looks like? Come back next week and you'll get an eye full!

#Six Sentence Sunday #10 – A Heart Not Easily Broken

Happy Mother's Day!

If you've been following  for the past few weeks, you know that Ebony was determined to catch the eye of the hunky drum player in the band. In her efforts to get his attention, she placed herself in front of the stage and danced. When song ended, she realized nearly every man in the vicinity was showing their approval. Everyone but the drummer that is. But another band member noticed her. The blond haired, blue-eyed guitar player.

How will she handle his unexpected attention?

He was attractive but… he was white, not what I was aiming for. My lips tilted in a small smile before I moved out of his line of sight, placing myself in front of dancers who’d moved closer to the stage blocking my view of the drummer.
The next song played, and again, I tried to get lost in the music. My eyes closed, it was impossible to find my grove again without feeling stalked. The hair on the back of my neck stood up, drawing my attention down the length of the stage and to the guitar player, who once again, watched me with a predatory gleam in his eye. When the song ended, I worked my way back to my friends.

Ebony, girl, that sounds like a man who’s not about to let you out of his sight! And he’s good looking too? Could he be the one? Come back next week to find out! (I promise, you'll actually find out next week!)

#Six Sentence Sunday #8- A Heart Not Easily Broken

Welcome back my friends!

Tall, dark, and handsome…the recipe for a night of fun.

Determined to meet the drummer who’s caught her attention, Ebony makes her way to the dance floor alone. She positions herself in front of the stage, hoping to catch the eye of the drummer. Let’s see what happens next.

After securing a spot near the front of the stage, I raised my hands in the air and began to dance. Okay, that was stupid, seeing as how my ‘goodies’ were in danger of falling out of their ‘jar’, but worth it. For the first time in months, I forgot about books, the stress of my internship at the zoo, and work at the clinic. I closed my eyes and got lost in the music, letting it guide my body in sensual movements while telegraphing my desire, hoping the drummer would notice my body language.
The song ended, and I opened my eyes to cheer with the rest of the crowd. I was noticed all right.

Wow, it’s about time! Not only did she get a chance to relax, she may have met her goal of attracting the drummer’s attention…or has she?

Come back next week to find out!

#Six Sentence Sunday #7 A Heart Not Easily Broken

Well, well, well, another Sunday has arrived. Thank you for coming back!

Last week, Ebony shared what it would take for a man to catch her eye.  After spending the evening in the club, wearing a dress she’s not comfortable in, and being pressured by her roommates to find a man to have a summer fling with, Ebony has finally decided to go with the flow. Maybe the drink she had gave her a dose of liquid courage? Either way, the prospects have been slim. Nobody’s been bold enough to talk to her, and she is determined not to be the one to make the first move. Being ogled from across the room is has become annoying. Just as she begins to get bored, the music stops and action on the stage grabs her attention.

The band came onto the stage; Diverse Nation, their name suited them. The different members represented every nationality it seemed. My attention immediately went to the drummer.
He had dark mahogany skin, and it was impossible to judge his height since he stood on a stage. His build was exactly what I liked - shoulders the width of a doorframe and muscles bulging through his t-shirt like the Incredible Hulk.
He took his place on stage, tapped his drumsticks together, and proceeded to drum out a rhythm, making the crowd go wild.

Sounds like someone’s gotten her attention. Could he be the one?

Come back next Sunday to find out!

#Six Sentence Sunday # 6 - A Heart Not Easily Broken

Welcome back!

Last week we learned Ebony wasn’t looking for a relationship because it could lead to distractions she has no time for. Things like love, commitment, and family.  But she’s got her mind set on sex. So, what does it take to turn the head of a independent woman?

I preferred a man who was tall, had thick lips, and eyes that could peer into the depths of my soul. A man with the body of a sex machine, yet had no problem working hard for a living and wasn’t afraid to get his hands dirty. One of the first things I noticed about a man was not his shoe size, but his hands. If they were too pretty and soft, the man didn’t believe in hard work. If they were overly calloused with visible dirt under the nails and full of scrapes and bruises, those were signs that a man didn’t take care of the little things, which meant the rest of him would be questionable. Now, a man with hands somewhere in between, calloused from work with no traces of dirt under his nails, those were signs of a hardworking man who could clean up nice…everywhere.

A good man, it seems, is exactly what she looking for, whether she want to admit it or not. After all, who’d be that picky over a one-night stand?

Stay tuned ladies, he is coming, and I promise, like Ebony, you won’t be disappointed!
See you next week!
